Tips to Get Success with Google Adsense pay per Click Program

Tips to Get Success with Google Adsense

Google AdSense is a revenue generating program run by Google Inc. which earns revenue either on a per-click basis or a per-impression basis. With an increasing share of the market now in the hands of Google AdSense, it makes sense to know how to run a successful advertisement on this program.
Here is some advice on how to make your publicity or marketing campaign more effective.
Build Traffic
Of course, this sounds like a commonsense thing to do. However, many companies fail to build targeted traffic that is, displaying advertisements to the market most likely to be interested in purchasing your product. So, for example, advertising college admissions to a forty year old might not be the most effective use of Google AdSense. Learn to advertise to the market you are catering to, as this will increase traffic building of your ad.
Experiment
Keep your ad catchy. If people keep seeing the same text or the same pictures over and over again, they will get bored and your traffic flow will decrease. By constantly changing your look, the images you use, the text and the colors of your ad, you will keep your audience interested and engaged and they will keep coming back for more.

Create Channels
Channels are a lesser known feature of Google AdSense which enables you to see which one of your adverts is working the best. So, for example, if you add a Google AdSense unit to your header, you could create a channel which will monitor how much activity the header generates on your page. This way, you can track the performance and revenue generating capability and history of each of your ads.
It is a good idea to compare different channels with each other so that you know which ones are working better than the other. Then, by analyzing their performance, it becomes easier to detect which ads could be improved or changed altogether to improve their revenue generating capability. A good indicator of performance is the ‘click through rate’ (CTR). A high CTR guarantees high revenue generation, so be sure to check these statistics on your channels.
Avoid Free Hosts
Free web hosting is one of the internet’s most tempting offers; the ability to generate revenue by not investing anything at all into the website. However, this is bad business sense in the most obvious way possible.
Free web hosts generally offer the least features for web design and the strings attached are often more trouble than saving a few bucks to be able to buy a domain name. Moreover, for many serious businesses, it can be an active barrier to being published in other online sources, simply because people do not take you seriously enough.
And if other businesses do not take you seriously, it becomes incredibly difficult to generate a trust and good reputation among clients and advertisers. Generally, it is very restricting to start a new business on a free web host. Even if you make the decision to switch to paid domain hosting later, you will have to shift all your files from one domain host to the next – an incredibly daunting task for any of us!
